Korean Report Recently Claims That Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Could be Launched in Europe by Month-end.

When Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ phablets earlier this month, along came the disappointing news of the Galaxy Note 5 not launching in Europe this year. All previous Galaxy Note phablets were launched in the European market soon after launch, so the news was definitely quite a shocker to Galaxy Note fans in the region. However, recent evidence suggests the Galaxy Note 5 could be headed to Europe this year after all, possibly as soon as the end of this month.


A previously unknown variant of the Galaxy Note 5 has been spotted on a few customs and certification websites with the model number SM-N920F. From previous Galaxy devices, we know that devices with the “F” suffix are usually the European variants. Both the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy S5 European versions sport the “F” suffix. The variant recently passed through Bluetooth.org for certification and has also been listed on an Indian import data portal.

In addition to the evidence above, a Korean publication has also confirmed that the Galaxy Note 5 will be released in the European market. They also claim that the Note 5 could be launched in Europe and other markets around the world as early as August 28th. Even if Samsung doesn’t roll out the Galaxy Note 5 on August 28th, there is now hope that the latest Note phablet will arrive in Europe

before the end of the year, earlier than what Samsung initially claimed. The SM-N920F being imported into India could also mean that the Galaxy Note 5 will soon be launched in the Indian market as well. Apart from Europe, India was another significant markets where the Galaxy Note 5 wasn’t launched. Samsung only launched the Galaxy S6 Edge+ in Europe as well as India, claiming the curved edge phablet was more suited to the market conditions in the two regions.

Although the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ and the Galaxy Note 5 share a lot in common, there is no denying the fact that it is only the Galaxy Note 5 that can truly replace the Galaxy Note 4. Customers waiting to upgrade from the Galaxy Note 3 or the Galaxy Note 4 aren’t likely to be very impressed by the Galaxy S6 Edge+ as it doesn’t come with the S-Pen, making it a less productive device than the Galaxy Note 5. Although the new Galaxy Note 5 omits a few features such as expandable storage and a user-replaceable battery, the phablet does offer an improved S-Pen stylus with a number of new software features and tweaks. It also offers a much more premium build and design, an improved 16MP camera with optical image stabilization, a leaner TouchWiz UI, and impressive performance courtesy of the octa-core Exynos 7420 SoC and 4GB of RAM. The limited internal memory also offers much improved transfer speeds thanks to the use of USF 2.0 memory chips.

Alleged HTC One M9 Plus Mockup Reveals Its Design

A mockup render of the unannounced HTC One M9 Plus made the rounds on Twitter, courtesy of@OnLeaks. The image compares the M9 Plus to the regular HTC One M9 and is said to be based on a prototype of the device.

As you can see in the render above, the biggest difference between HTC One M9 Plus and One M9 is the presence of a physical home button below the display. The solution splits the BoomSound speaker in two and could also utilize a fingerprint scanner.

The circular camera of the handset should hardly catch anyone by surprise. It has already appeared in live photos.

HTC One M9 Plus might debut with two different chipsets - a MediaTek MT6795 model could cater to the Chinese market, while a Snapdragon 810 version will be sold elsewhere. The rest of the device’s rumored specs include 5.2” QHD display, fingerprint scanner, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of expandable memory.

LG G4 Might Not Feature a Metal Body; Reports Shows

According to a report from Korea, the soon to be revealed LG G4 will not feature a metal body. However, the Korean giant is expected to launch a metal-clad smartphone before the end of this year.

The first LG device with metal body will allegedly be the upcoming G4 Note. The previously rumoredhigh-end handset will reportedly compete with the likes of Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Apple iPhone 6 Plus when it becomes available.

LG G4 will not get the metal treatment due to the costly nature of the switch to CNC equipment. Leaked press renders of the LG G3 successor have all but confirmed that it will feature a polycarbonate body.

Instagram Layout Update; Create Photo Collage on The go!

Instagram has launched a brand new app today, and this one is focused on doing one thing only – photo collages. These have become immensely popular lately, and the Facebook-owned company apparently couldn’t stay away from the field.

So it’s releasing its own contender in this space, officially called Layout from Instagram. Right now it’s only available for iOS devices, with an Android version supposedly arriving “in the coming months”.

As you may have imagined, Layout basically lets you combine multiple photos into a single image. As you choose photos from your camera roll, Layout automatically shows you previews of custom layouts for your collage. To easily find photos of people, just use the Faces option.

You can drag and drop individual photos to rearrange them, pinch to zoom, pull the sides of a photo to resize it, and even flip and rotate photos for mirror effects and the likes. And the Photo Booth function lets you capture images that you’ll instantly see in a layout.
